Why XX-XY Athletics Isn’t Going Anywhere

People often ask: “What happens to XX-XY Athletics once the issue of men competing in women’s sports is solved?” The truth? Our mission doesn’t end there. Not even close.

Here’s a distilled look at why this brand has a long future ahead — and why our stand for women will always matter.

1. The fight isn’t over — legally or culturally.

Even with recent federal action meant to protect women’s sports, about half the country is ignoring it. Legal battles are ongoing, states are challenging each other, and the issue is far from settled. Executive orders can be reversed. Culture changes even slower.

2. Real protection for women’s sports requires legislation — and that takes years.

Supreme Court cases are underway, states are battling in opposite directions, and the interpretation of Title IX is at the heart of it all. No matter what happens, these legal processes move slowly. XX-XY Athletics isn’t built around a trend — it’s built around a long, ongoing movement.

3. We’ve become the only athletic brand boldly standing with women.

We took the stand publicly. First. Loudly. And without wavering.
That’s “first-mover advantage,” and it matters. When history settles, we’ll be the brand that never flinched when it was hard.

4. Women athletes face many challenges — and we’re just getting started.

Protecting fairness is only step one. There are dozens of issues affecting female athletes today: safety, funding, visibility, equal opportunities, and more. Once we protect the category itself, we’ll use our platform to champion all of them.

5. Laws don’t instantly change culture. Brands help do that.

Even after major reforms — like the SafeSport Act — abuse and inequities persist. Culture takes time to shift, and brands play a role in pushing it forward. XX-XY will keep influencing that culture long after the laws settle.

6. Brands evolve — the strong ones always do.

Amazon started with books.
Nike started with running.
Lululemon started with yoga.
Great brands grow with culture.
XX-XY Athletics will evolve with the needs of women athletes while staying rooted in truth and fairness.

7. When the truth becomes “safe” again, everyone will claim they believed it all along.

Once society fully returns to understanding that sex is binary, more people will proudly wear XX-XY — not fewer. Right now, only the brave are willing to be seen in our logo. But when the cultural tide shifts, millions will follow.

8. Our name isn’t political — it’s biological.

XX and XY are simply the chromosome pairings for women and men. That’s it. That will still be true in 10 years, 100 years, and 500 years. The madness of “72 genders” is temporary. Biological reality isn’t. And we’ll still be the athletic brand grounded in truth, performance, and the empowerment of women.

XX-XY Athletics isn’t a moment. It’s a movement.

And our mission stretches far beyond one issue, one executive order, or one cultural moment. We’re here to build a long-lasting athletic brand that champions women, protects fairness, and evolves as culture evolves — all while staying rooted in truth.
