America is built on an idea—freedom, opportunity, progress and the ability to shape your own future. It is so inherently optimistic. There is no other country like this on earth. And freedom is truly the tide that lifts all boats.
The U.S. has one of the world’s highest GDPs per capita and this country offers opportunities—like starting a business or accessing education—that the vast majority of countries can’t match.
In America, the ability to criticize the government and push for change is a strength. People from around the world are clamoring to live here because of that freedom! We can speak out, protest, and vote any way we please without fear of punishment from the government — rights that are non-existent in places like China or North Korea.
The Civil Rights Movement, women’s suffrage and Title IX all show that America can evolve and get better to fulfill its promise. That’s something to take pride in: the freedom to demand better and see it happen.
We are grateful to live in a country where protest is permitted; where our vote matters; where you can say you don’t like the government freely without fear of punishment; and where women have equal rights.
At XX-XY Athletics, we are celebrating the 4th of July, the country’s birthday. We are thankful that we can be outspoken and that with a bit of entrepreneurialism we can affect change.
We are also celebrating an American hero – 12x All-American Riley Gaines with our Be Bold red, white and blue product collaboration.
This 4th, have fun and recommit yourself to speaking up for equal opportunity for women and for the protection of Title IX.
We sell a red, white and blue collection year-round because we are proud to and know how lucky we are to be Americans every single day.
And every day we are working hard to bring more of our production into the US. Right now, some of our hats and all of our water bottles are made here but we hope to bring you more made in the USA very soon.
We will proudly wave a flag this 4th of July. And be grateful that we have the chance to start this business and use our voices to affect change.
We believe in freedom of speech, biological reality and women’s rights.
XX-XY Athletics, the truth in red, white and blue.
